About Super Heroes Humane Society

Our Shelter

Super Heroes Humane Society was founded because of an incredible demand in the community for low-cost spay/neuter programs, a pet food pantry, and assistance obtaining emergency veterinary care. Our volunteer group has grown immensely in recent years and we are so grateful for that! By teaming up together we are able to accomplish much more for the community. Super Heroes Humane Society’s shelter facility is located in rural Oneonta, NY.

We also use a robust network of foster homes because we understand how important a home setting is for the animals’ well being.

Pet Food Pantry

Super Heroes offers the community a pet food pantry. Food is available to pet owners in need, no questions asked. Please call ahead to ensure availability.

Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Services

Super Heroes is proud to partner with other incredible organizations to provide our community regular access to low-cost spay neuter services.

Emergency Boarding

Super Heroes works with local hospitals and social services to provide free, temporary boarding of pets for owners facing long-term hospital stays, homelessness, or a stay in a domestic violence shelter.

Adopt & Foster

For every animal in our program, there’s another 1, 5, or 10 waiting to come in. When you adopt or foster, you open the door to those waiting. As a foster, you’re an extension of our shelter. As an adopter, you join the Super Heroes family!
